Detail reverse side of $1 dollar bill Pop Art warhol style.
The United States one-dollar bill ($1) is a denomination of United States currency. The first U.S. President (1789/97), George Washington, painted by Gilbert Stuart, is currently featured on the obverse (front), and the Great Seal of the United States is featured on the reverse.
The reverse of the one dollar bill , features on the left, a barren landscape dominated by an unfinished pyramid of 13 steps, topped by the Eye of Providence within a triangle. In 1782, the Eye of Providence was adopted as part of the symbolism on the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States. It was first suggested as an element of the Great Seal by the first of three design committees in 1776 and is thought to be the suggestion of the artistic consultant, Pierre Eugene du Simitiere.
Today, the Eye of Providence is often associated with Freemasonry. The Eye first appeared as part of the standard iconography of the Freemasons...
